Installation recommendations for external tiling

A concrete pad should be laid at 100 mm thick incorporating a damp proof course, allowing 8 weeks to cure.  This curing time can be reduced to 7 days if Durabase anti fracture membrane is used.

The temperature should exceed 5°C before any tiling work proceeds.  When the relevant criteria have been achieved, the tiles should then be fixed with Norcross Thick Bed Adhesive, ensuring 100% coverage with no voids.

After fixing, the stone should be sealed with appropriate impregnators, we would recommend Fila Hydrorep and Fila Fob, grouting should be done between coats of sealants.
