Schist
Schist is created by the metamorphism of fine grained rock crystals containing mica, arranged in parallel layers or bands. When slate is pressurised at high temperatures schist can be formed as its particles become re-crystallized and banded. This is a very hard stone and is ideal for heavily used area’s both indoors and outside.

Oyster - mixture of pale golds, pale greeny greys with a hint of pink, very textured riven surface, particularly good for non slip. Suitable for exterior use.
